Design and Supervision for the Construction of Poultry Rearing Facility
C.B. & Associates Inc. was contracted by Basic Needs Trust Fund Implementing Agency (BNTF IA) to undertake the design of a Poultry Rearing Facility at Matarkai, Region No. 1, to add supply to the market and to enhance the quality of chicken being sold in Port Kaituma within the region. The facility consists of one (1) chicken pen to house two hundred and fifty (250) chickens, a baby chicks pen, a poultry processing and packaging facility, a chain-link perimeter fence, and ancillary amenities.
Architectural Analysis and Design
C.B. & Associates Inc. provided architectural and structural design and topographic survey services for the building. Deliverables include detailed design drawings, including a 3D render, layout, and reinforcement details of the foundation and structural designs of the superstructure. Also included were the engineer’s estimate and technical specifications to accompany the tender documents. C.B. & Associates Inc. provided supervision services during the construction phase which included:
- Monitoring the progress of the contractor
- Ensuring that all engineering specifications are met during construction
- Supervision of all field and laboratory testing
- Production of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Coordination of progress meetings
